Cliffs of Moher
Beginning in Doolin and rising to a height of over 200 metres the Cliffs of Moher are one of the most impressive sights in Europe. The usual viewing place is near O’Brien’s Tower where the cliffs are at their highest.
You can also explore the Cliff’s of Moher by taking one of Pat Sweeney’s famous guided walk from Doolin or take a cruise along the cliffs.

Look out for everyone’s favourite, the Atlantic Puffins, and also the famous sea cave that featured in the Harry Potter movie the Half-Blood Prince.
The Burren
The Burren, derived from gaelic meaning ‘stony place’, is a limestone landscape like no other in Ireland. Described by some as a “moonscape” and by others at “the fertile rock” it has a wealth of archeological sites. Doolin is an ideal base for touring the burren region.
The Aran Islands
Ferries to the Aran Islands leave from Doolin Pier which is only a short drive from Daly’s House.
Discover Inis Oírr, Inis Meain and Inis Mór, three magical islands with amazing landscapes & history.
Traditional Music Sessions

Doolin Cave
Doolin Cave is one of Europe’s most compelling cave attractions. See “The Great Stalactite”, the world’s third largest stalactite, in easily accessible cave.
Make sure to also walk to Nature Trail around the cave and the delicious goodies at Doolin Cave’s Café.
Horse Riding
Horse riding is available locally at Mountain View Horse Riding Centre, only 15 mins from Daly’s House B&B.
Treks of various lengths available with spectacular views of the Burren.
Golf and Pitch & Putt
Doolin offers one of Ireland’s most beautiful Pitch & Putt course with stunning views over the Cliffs of Moher and it is only 5 mins from Daly’s House B&B.
For more avid golfers, Lahinch top course is only 15 mins away from our house.
Surfing
Clare offers some of the best surfing conditions in the world. There is a monster wave at “Aill Na Searrach” under the Cliffs of Moher.
There is gentler surfing at Lahinch and Fanore beaches and great surf schools. A great way to connect with the Atlantic Ocean and do a fun activity!
Cycling
A great way to enjoy all the sights in the Burren but also the Aran Islands. There are many cycling routes available.
Cycling tours available or simply rent a bike in Doolin to explore the area by yourself.
